The changes that matter most take months: a body that’s changing, a lift that keeps climbing, a piece of music you can finally play. From one day to the next you can’t see them, so it’s easy to think nothing is happening. Alterio is there to show you that something is.
What it does
Alterio keeps a repeated, identical record of the things that change slowly: photos taken the same way each time, your lifts, your steps, letters to your future self. When the difference is big enough to see, it lines the moments up so you can see it too.
How it’s made
Private by default. Your photos, letters and workouts live on your phone. Sync keeps an encrypted copy with your account so your other devices have it. Only you can see it, and you can switch it off. No ads, no tracking, and we never sell your data. It works offline, too.
Who’s behind it
“I started Alterio because I’d been training for months and couldn’t tell whether anything was changing, until I lined up two photos. Then I added all the things that helped me enjoy training.”
Alterio is run by Haseeb Ahmad, in the United Kingdom. It isn’t out yet: join the waiting list and you’ll hear the day it is.
